Winner of a Best of the Blue Ridge Award from Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine -- voted by their readers of as the favorite cycling road ride of the year!
This event is not a race, but an event to help raise awareness about bicycling in the area. It is being organized by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club and the Western North Carolina Bicycle Dealers Association. Money collected will be used to:
• further advocate safe cycling in the area
• provide sponsorships
• make donations pertinent to cycling
• support area mountain bike trail maintenance
The cost is a flat rate for all routes regardless of date registered ($35.00 Full and Metric Centuries, $15.00 Family Ride).
These rides are some of the best in this state. The focus is on a safe ride for each participant, regardless of whether they're attempting the Full Century, the Metric Century, or the Family Ride. There will be rest stops along all routes and SAG cars to provide support for riders with minor mechanical problems or safety issues.
This event is limited to 700 riders total.
